BUILT FOR QSR · NCR ALOHA

Build the restaurant experience. StoreRail handles the POS.

StoreRail is the in-store layer between your kiosks and ordering apps and NCR Aloha. Every order is recorded in the restaurant, placed on the POS and recovered if something fails — all over the restaurant network, with no internet needed.

THE PROBLEM

Restaurant apps shouldn’t need to understand the POS.

A kiosk or ordering app is only half the job. Connecting it to an established POS means handling the failures that happen at the counter every day. StoreRail takes that work away from your app.

WHEN The POS doesn’t answer A timeout isn’t treated as a failure. StoreRail checks the POS to see what happened before doing anything else.
WHEN A PC or service restarts Orders are saved in the store before they reach the POS, and picked up again on restart.
WHEN A guest taps twice A repeated request returns the same order. No duplicate checks on the POS.
WHEN An unknown device connects Each kiosk signs its requests and carries its own licence. The in-store gateway decides who may order.
STORE-LOCAL ARCHITECTURE

The critical path stays in the restaurant.

Orders move from your app to StoreRail to Aloha over the restaurant network. They never leave the store on the way to the POS.

02 · OPTIONAL StoreRail SDK Android library — coming next. Apps can also call the API directly.
03 · STORE PC StoreRail API Gateway Saves, places and recovers every order. Checks every device.
04 · TERMINAL StoreRail Aloha API The only part that talks to Aloha. Holds the POS licence.
05 · POS NCR Aloha Existing terminals, menus and kitchen routing
Kiosks never touch the POSDevices reach the gateway only. POS credentials stay on the Aloha terminal.
Saved before it’s sentEvery accepted order is written to a local ledger on the store PC first.
No internet hopThe gateway reaches Aloha directly inside the restaurant.

NCR services, payment providers and your own applications may have their own connectivity needs. StoreRail itself does not require an external cloud service between your app and the POS.

CURRENT PRODUCT

Start with the integration layer.

EARLY ACCESS

StoreRail API Gateway

The store-local runtime connecting modern restaurant applications to NCR Aloha. Installed on the store PC as a Windows service.

Core ordering is built and tested. Live store validation is under way with early partners.

Orders saved in the store Duplicate-safe submission Recovery after failures Device sign-in & licensing Hold until paid, then release Health & readiness checks

Bring your own menu platform. Bring your own application. StoreRail handles the POS integration.

How an order moves
Unclear POS response? The order moves to reconciling. StoreRail reads the POS to find out what happened — it never blindly re-sends — and flags staff if it can’t resolve it.
FOR YOUR TECHNOLOGY TEAM

Built for your development team.

Your app sends business intent — an order, a release, a cancellation. StoreRail does the POS work. Your developers never write Aloha-specific code.

REST / JSON OpenAPI contract Idempotent requests Clear order states Normalized errors Signed device requests Android SDK · coming next

Gateway API · v1 HTTP
POST /v1/ordersSubmit an order
GET /v1/orders/{orderId}Read its current state
POST /v1/orders/{orderId}/releaseRecord payment, send to kitchen
POST /v1/orders/{orderId}/cancelCancel an unpaid order
GET /health/readyIs the store ready to take orders?
Kiosks take payment themselves. StoreRail records the tender on the check — no card data passes through it.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Built for QSR reality.

Store-localKeep the critical POS integration inside the restaurant.
Failure-awareOrders should not disappear because a process restarts or a POS operation becomes unclear.
Existing infrastructureWorks alongside your Aloha environment. It extends the POS — it doesn’t replace it.
Developer-friendlyGive app teams a modern interface instead of POS-specific complexity.
ModularUse only the StoreRail components your organization needs.
